Xavier University Hurricane Repairs
New Orleans, LA
In the days following Hurricane Katrina, Xavier University’s campus was inundated with 3 to 6 feet of water, flooding the first floor of their 21 main buildings, and in some cases the upper floors due to roof leaks. Landis was contracted to renovate over 1,100,000 square feet of interior space on the campus in only five months without the source of power, an architect or as-built drawings. Additionally, nearly 500,000 square feet of ceilings were repaired or replaced. The entire electrical system was replaced.
